Das rauhe oder granulierte endoplasmatische Retikulum ist ein dreidimensionales
Hohlraumsystem. Es sammelt und transportiert Proteine, die von den auf
den Außenseiten seiner Membranen verankerten Ribosomen
produziert werden.

The granular endoplasmic reticulum is a complex meshwork of membranous
tubules, vesicles and flat cisterns. RER collects and transports proteins
that are synthesised by the ribosomes
embedded in the outer membrane of the RER.

| Reticulocytus | Retikulozyt, in der Entwicklung der roten Blutkörperchen (Erythrocyten), die auch Erythropoese genannt wird, die letzte Vorstufe aus der sich die reifen Erythrocyten bilden. Die dunklen Vesikel der Zellen sind Überreste des endoplasmatischen Retikulums. Retikulocyten machen normalerweise unter 1 % der roten Blutkörperchen im Blut aus. | Reticulocyte; during formation of red blood cells (erythropoesis) the last stage before the mature red blood cells are formed. The darkly staining vesicles of reticulocytes are fragments of former endoplasmatic reticulum. Under normal conditions less than 1 % of the circulating red blood cells are reticulocytes. |

vor. An Ribosomen findet die Translation der Erbinformation von sich anlagernder
messenger RNS und damit Proteinsynthese statt.

Ribosome, a cell organelle consisting
of ribosomal ribonucleic acid (RNA) an proteins. It exist singly, in clusters
called polyribosomes, the outer nuclear
membrane or on the surface of RER.
In protein synthesis, they are the site of messenger RNA attachment when
the translation of the genetic information takes place.
