Cri = Cristae mitochondriales, wie sie für den Cristatyp charakteristisch wären;
Mam = Mitochondrienmatrix; Mi = Mitochondrium (vom Typ her zwischen allen drei Typen);
Mme = Membrana mitochondrialis externa (äußere Mitochondrienmembran);
Mmi = innere Mitochondrienmembran; Pr = Polyribosomen; R = Ribosom;
RER = rauhes endoplasmatisches Retikulum;
T = Tubuli mitochondriales, die für den Tubulustyp charakteristisch wären;
* dreieckige Innentululi, wie sie für den Prismatyp charakteristisch sind.
